Lots of iPhone users buy all kinds of phone apps to use on their iPhones. However, there may be a time when you don’t want anyone to see all of the app store history that is stored onto your phone. The facts are that iCloud keeps a history of all of the apps that you have bought online so that you can re-download them if needed.
However, maybe there is an app you really are embarrassed about and don’t want anyone else to know about it. How can you get rid of this purchase results? Here is the way to delete or hide purchased app store history on your iPhone: Hiding/Eliminating iPhone Apps from iCloud and History If you want to get rid of the purchased apps history, it can be done through either iTunes or through your iPhone. All you have to do is follow these directions:
Getting rid of purchase history in iTunes
First, go to the iTunes app and click onto the iTunes store icon. It is located in the left hand of the phone’s menu. Then, click onto the “Purchased” icon, which is located on the far right of the screen.
Next, click onto the “Apps” and be sure to click onto “All” so that all of them appear in the list.
If you want to hide the app, just go to it and hover the pointer over it and a black X will show up in the top of the left hand corner. Above iTunes 12.3.1, just double-click the app, it will ask if you want to hide this purchase. Clicking this will hide the app from view, but it doesn’t actually erase it permanently from the iPhone.
Hiding Apps on the iPhone itself
If you don’t want to go through iTunes to hide the app, then you can do it directly onto the phone itself. Just go to the App Store and look for “Updates”, click on the avatar button at the top to enter your App Store account.
Under your App Store account, click "Purchased" to view your purchased apps. You can select “All” tab to see all of the apps, and swipe your finger from left to right of the screen over each of the apps you want to hide, a Hide button shows up and you just click it.
However, neither of these actually deletes the apps purchase info, it merely hides it, so if someone knows your password they might be able to figure out how to get it back.
Deleting App Purchases
To get rid of the app purchase info, you must open up iCloud, log in with your password and click onto your account option. Then, choose “Purchase” button, and then you will see all of the list of apps you have bought in the past. All you have to do is then look for the “All” button in the history and delete the history. It’s that simple.
All in all, if you want to get rid of the apps purchase information in your iPhone or just hide it from view, all you have to do is follow the above easy step by step directions and you will get rid of those pesky apps you no longer want to see in your history.
