Most Mac computers come with Bluetooth technology built-in, so we can connect your mac with a Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, trackpad, headset, to other audio device. But recently many Mac users have reported that since their Mac was upgraded to macOS Catalina, their Bluetooth Headphones were connected to the Bluetooth on the Mac, but the sound changed suddenly to internal speakers. The Magic mouse and keyboard are normal, and even after updating to the latest macOS 10.15.3, the issue is still not resolved. Is there a solution? Don’t worry, this article will provide some solutions to help you to fix it.
1. Check bluetooth connect with your mac
Choose Apple menu -> About this Mac -> System Report… -> Click the Bluetooth. Then check the Devices (Paired, Configured, etc.). All previously connected and currently connected Bluetooth devices will be shown there. View the Connected state of the bluetooth headphones: YES or NO
2. Disable Ask Siri and Turn off Voice Control feature
Have a try to turn off Siri and turn off voice feedback. Go to System Preferences -> Siri -> Deselect the enable Ask Siri checkbox.
Go to System Preferences-> Accessibility -> click Voice Control in the sidebar ->deselect the Enable Voice Control.
3. Reset NVRAM
Hold down command + option +P +R on your keyboard immediately after your Mac begins to restart. Continue holding both keys until you see the Apple logo or a spinning globe. Then your Mac will boot normally.
4. Control the number of Bluetooth devices connected to your Mac
The official Bluetooth specification says that seven is the maximum number of Bluetooth devices that can be connected to a Mac at one time. However, this usually depends on the type of device used, and three to four devices are practical limits. Some devices require more Bluetooth data and are therefore more demanding than others. Data-intensive devices may reduce the total number of devices that can be activated simultaneously.
5. Pair your Mac with a Bluetooth Headphones devices
Bluetooth wireless devices are associated with your computer through a process called pairing. After you pair a device, your Mac automatically connects to it anytime it's in range. If it suddenly disconnects, consider replacing the Bluetooth headset battery or charging it. Or remove it from your Mac's bluetooth device list, and re-pair it with your Mac. Choose Apple menu -> System Preferences -> click Bluetooth.
