Have your ever experienced that one of your friends message threader seeing a notifications silenced message? It means that your friend uses Focus on their iPhone. When a person sets up Focus on their iPhone, then you might see a message displayed in the Messages app that says [contact name] has notifications silenced. But some iPhone users reported that they have turned off Focus for Messages, their friends still receive this message. Is there any way to disable it completely?
1. Turn off Focus in Messages
On your iPhone, go to iPhone Settings -> Messages -> turn Focus off under ALLOW MESSAGES TO ACCESS.
2 . Turn off Share Focus Statues
On your iPhone, go to iPhone Settings -> Focus -> Do Not Disturb -> Focus Status -> turn Share Focus Statues off, it will not display to people who message you that you have notification silenced.
3. Delete Focus Event
Check all your Focus events(Reading, Fitness, Sleep or other Focus Event), if one of Focus events contains a notification ban messages app and the contact, please delete the Focus event.
4. Turn off Share Across Devices
To avoid other iOS devices that might have Focus settings turned on in those places above, please turn off Share Across Devices option of Focus. On your iPhone, go to iPhone Settings -> Focus -> Turn Share Across Devices off.
5. Reset iPhone Settings
On your iPhone, go to iPhone Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone (Reset iPhone in the old iOS version) -> Reset -> Reset All Settings.
