“Credit Card is About to Expire” Error in AppStore Purchase

You need to update payment information". However, despite having several years left until the credit card's expiration date. This issue not only disrupts the user experience by preventing the use of Face ID but also requires a manual sign-in with the Apple ID and password to complete the payment process. 1. Manage and Update Payment Information

 

When you experience a payment error on your iPhone or other iOS device, update the payment will fix this problem. Go to iPhone Settings -> your Apple ID --> Media & Purchase -> View Account -> Manage Payment -> and then view and update your payment information, use your FaceID or sign in your Apple ID with password.

2. Add a New Payment Method in the App Store

 

Consider adding an alternative payment method to your App Store account as a backup payment. Go to iPhone Settings -> your Apple ID --> Payment & Shipping -> use your FaceID or sign in your Apple ID with password, tap Add Payment Method, add another credit card or PayPal, you can have a try after Appstore verify your updated account payment information.

3. Change your AppStore Payment Country or region

 

When you move to a new country or region, you need change the country or region in Apple ID. Or the AppStore can't work. Go to iPhone Settings -> your Apple ID --> Media & Purchase -> View Account -> Country/Region -> Change Country or Region, choose your new country and region, click tap Next, Review the Terms and Conditions and Apple Privacy Policy, then tap Agree if you agree.

4. Review AppStore purchase history with current payment

 

It's advisable to check your App Store purchase history to ensure there are no uncompleted purchases with your current payment method.. This can help identify any underlying issues causing the error message. Go to iPhone Settings -> your Apple ID --> Media & Purchase -> View Account -> Purchase History, view your app purchase history and complete the app uncompleted purchases.

5. Re-sign the payment agreement between the bank and the AppStore.

 

If the payment policy that your bank and Apple originally signed changed, your payment will be declined unless you re-sign the payment agreement. So remove and add the card will fix this issue. Go to iPhone Settings -> your Apple ID --> Payment & Shipping -> use your FaceID or sign in your Apple ID with password, Tap Edit. Tap the red delete button next to the old payment method, then tap Remove.
