Many iPhone users feedback that they can't delete Apple Maps locations history after iOS update. When you swipe and click to remove, but it reappeared in a few seconds. Apple Maps seems to record these addresses automatically, but we can't delete them. Is there any solution?
In the old iOS version, you can clear all recent records in Recents tab. But there is no similar function in new iOS. Here are three solutions to delete Apple Maps locations history on your iPhone.
1. Clear Maps Locations history on iPhone
If we know the location of map location data stored in iPhone, we choose to delete or close it. Then the problem is solved. As we know, iPhone uses location services to track and record all GPS and address information under Settings -> Privacy.
Open your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services (scroll to the bottom)> Significant Locations. It need your touch ID to view Significant Locations.
When you access Significant Locations, you can clear all delete Apple Maps locations history with Clear History.
Or you can access a place, then click Edit button to delete a location history under that place.
2. Turn OFF iCloud Maps
If you have cleared the location data of the iPhone Maps, but the Maps still shows those deleted map addresses. The only explanation is that iCloud still stores the map data. So you need to turn off iCloud Maps to prevent iCloud from synchronizing map data. Go to Settings-> [username]Apple ID -> iCloud -> Turn off Maps
3. Use iPhone Cleaner to delete them
