How to do when iPhone gets Black Screen Spinning Wheel in iOS 10?

Numerous iOS 10 users have claimed that in the wake of upgrading their new iPhones to the most recent version of iOS, they have been encountering odd and unusual issues with their phones. Some said that after some use, their phone just freezes, and gets stuck at the black spinning screen for quite a while.

If you are one of the users experiencing this issue on your iPhone, then you can follow the steps below:

1. Make sure your iPhone is unplugged from the socket or the computer.

2. Hold down the POWER button plus the VOLUME DOWN button SIMULTANEOUSLY. If it works, the screen should power off almost immediately.

3. Connect your iPhone to the computer. (When you connect your iPhone to the computer, your iPhone may automatically turn on and be ready to be used again).

If you have tried the 3 steps above without a solution, then try the below steps:

The following steps are designed for you to be able to remotely turn off your "Find my iPhone", so you can do a manual restore from iTunes.

4. Go to www.icloud.com.

5. Click Find My iPhone

6. Since the phone is powered off already, it won't be able to locate it. Click DEVICES on the upper bar.

7. Click your iPhone.

8. Click "remove from account".

9. Go to your iTunes, and do a full restore.

Another way this can be done are

1: Forcibly Quit Frozen Apps

The first thing you can try is to force quit the frozen app, this may work if the freeze is only caused by a specific app, and if you’re seeing the spinning wheel often when you open the app. Nonetheless, it’s worth a try since it’s easy and only takes about 10 seconds:

Hold down the Power button until the “Slide to Power Off” appears, but do not touch the slider. Release the Power button, then hold the Home button to force quit the frozen app, Force quit a frozen app

2: Force Reboot a Frozen iOS Device

If forcibly exiting the app didn’t work, it’s likely the entire device has either crashed or frozen up. If this is the case, then you have to issue a forced reboot for the device, 99% of the time this resolves the spinning wheel issue entirely and you’ll be back to use the iPhone as usual.

Hold down the Home button and the Power button together until the iPhone forcibly restarts

When this is properly done, you will know that it has worked because the screen will turn black and then an Apple logo will appear. Force reboots take longer than a standard reboot, so don’t be surprised if this takes a minute or two for the iOS device to resume to normal usability.

The key thing to remember when forcibly rebooting is to hold down the buttons concurrently. If you hold them separately, iOS will attempt to force quit the current app instead, which is not going to do anything if the device is completely frozen up.

If you’re seeing a spinning wheel after updating to a new version of iOS, wait at least 5-10 minutes before trying anything else, it’s possible the device is simply updating itself.

3: Put your iPhone into Recovery mode

If all the above solution can not solve the problem, you can have a try to enter iPhone recovery mode then restore iPhone from an iTunes backup. So you'd better did an iTunes before.
