How to downgrade to Yosemite after installing OS X EI Capitan(including beta/developer preview)?

Many people have switched over to OS X El Capitan and are loving the change, but some are not happy and would like to go back to using Yosemite, as this new Mac OS X doesn’t work well for them for whatever reasons. However, don’t despair as it is possible to downgrade your system back to Yosemite after having installed OS X El Capitan

However, in order to do this, you will have to have a backup of the Yosemite Mac OS X, as well as have Time Machine on your system prior to when you upgraded to OS X El Capitan.

First, make sure you have recently backed up all of your existing files since you made the backup of Yosemite, or you will lose them when you downgrade back to it. Next, connect your Time Machine drive to the computer that has the backup you need. Then, reboot it and hold down the Command+R key to make it go into Recovery Mode or hold down the Option key and boot it from an El Capitan Installer Drive.

Then, once OS X Utilities menu shows up, pick Restore from Time Machine backup, and pick the correct drive from the Select Backup Source menu. Then, make sure you choose the right one, for instance, 10.10.x backups are the ones for Yosemite.

Next, click Continue and tell it which drive to send the backup to and click Restore. The downgrade will now begin. This may take several minutes, and after it is done the computer will reboot to Yosemite.
