How to Edit IPTC Data of Photos on a Mac?

What is IPTC Data? IPTC metadata is a set of standardized information fields used to describe the content and details of digital photos. Embedded within image files, this metadata aids in organizing, searching, and properly crediting images in digital asset management systems. Widely used by photographers, news agencies, and media organizations, IPTC metadata helps manage and distribute image files efficiently.

Key IPTC data fields include:

• Title/Headline

• Caption/Description

• Keywords

• Creator/Photographer

• Copyright Notice

• Date Created

• Credit Line
