How to check your iPhone usage? Go to iPhone Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage, but it shows that Zero KB is Used. After a long time of waiting, the display remains unchanged. How is this possible? At least iOS system files and installed applications need to take up storage space. And the various apps shown below seem to occupy iPhone storage space normally. How to solve this problem?
If we need to view the storage space actually used by the iPhone, we can connect the iPhone to the computer and view it in iTunes or Finder as a workaround. How to make iPhone storage feature work normally? The following solutions will help you.
1. Reboot iPhone
If the error is only caused by the iOS display, restarting the iPhone may solve the problem. Go to iPhone Settings -> General -> Shut Down, then drag the slider. Then turn iPhone back on, press and hold the side button or Sleep/Wake button (depending on your model) until the Apple logo appears.
2. Reset iPhone Settings
Reset all iPhone settings to avoid unknown unusual settings. Go to iPhone Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone (Reset iPhone in the old iOS version) -> Reset -> Reset All Settings.
3. Free up iPhone Storage
If the above display is deceptive, the actual storage space of the iPhone may be full. Remove some applications, photos, videos to free up some storage space. Go to iPhone Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage, it will display all applications, and then tap an application which you want to delete. There will be two options the next page: Offload App and Delete App. Tap the Delete App button to remove.
4. Clean up iPhone cache files
As system applications and downloaded third-party applications run for a long time, they will generate some log files, cache files, and so on. We don't know whether iOS will clean and manage them in the background regularly, but if the above problem is caused by too many cache files, we temporarily use a third-party application to clear iPhone cache files. Download and install iPhone Cleaner, which is a third-party desktop application. Once you connect the iPhone with the computer, it can manage and remove iOS system caches, logs, etc.
Click the Deep Scan Mode -> System Cleanup, and click the Scan button, it will search the Diagnostic & Usage Data, Downloaded Temp Files, User Storage and more. And then click the Remove button after the scan is completed.
