All the iOS devices have to be synced to iTunes in order to copy videos, music, media and back up data and apps. If the devices are not synced with iTunes, then you won’t be able to perform any of the above functions. Normally, you won’t face any problems during the syncing process. However, sometimes you might face some problems. So, how do you solve it? Here are few steps that you will have to follow to fix iTunes when it’s not syncing with your iOS device.
The first thing you have to do is update your iTunes. Sometimes, the problem will be solved by just updating the iTunes.
You should quit the iTunes, start the app again and try to sync the iTunes with the device.
Another way to solve the problem is by restarting the computer.
If the above steps doesn’t solve the syncing problem, then you will have to authorize your computer with iTunes. First of all connect the iOS device to the computer through USB and open the iTunes. Click on “Store” in menu and select “Deauthorize this computer”. Then, again select the “Store" in menu and click on "Authorize this computer”. You will have to fill the Apple ID and the password. Then click on “Authorize”.
You should try to use another USB cable or USB port. Sometimes you might have a damaged USB cable or USB port that will create problem while syncing.
If you are still facing the problem, then you should restart your iOS device. You should press the home and power button while switching the device off. Sometimes doing this might solve the problem.
You can also connect the device to computer through USB and then recheck the “Sync over wifi”.
If none of the above steps work, then you should try to erase everything in the device by going to “Settings”. Then go to “General” and select “Erase all contents and settings”. But, before you select it make sure that you backup all your data.
