Some iPhone users have reported that their iPhone can only hear video playback sound in Safari after updating to iOS 15, and the video screen remains black. 1. Turn on Cellular data for Videos

Go to iPhone Settings -> Videos -> Turn on Use Cellular Data under STREAMING OPTIONS and DOWNLOAD OPTIONS.

2. Join a stable Wifi network

Playing and downloading a video requires a lot of network traffic. Considering the limitations of the carrier's cellular traffic, connect to a stable wifi environment on the iPhone to play the video. Go to iPhone Settings -> WLAN -> Join a stable Wifi network.

3. Clear Safari History & Website Data

Have a try to clear Safari History & Website Data, Go to iPhone Settings -> Safari -> Clear History and Website Data -> Clear History and Data to confirm. It will remove Safari history, cookies, and other browsing data, and history will be cleared from device signed into your iCloud account.

4. Disable and Enable Media Capabilities

Go to iPhone Settings -> Safari -> Advanced -> Experimental Features -> scroll down and find the HDR Media Capabilities and Media Capabilities Extensions options, turn them off, then turn on again.

5. Reset iPhone Settings

Have a try to reset the iPhone Settings, go to iPhone Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone (Reset iPhone in the old iOS version) -> Reset -> Reset All Settings.
