How to fix when iPhone stuck on True Tone Display?

After iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and higher iPhone devices, Apple use a six-channel light sensor that measure brightness and ambient light color, then adjust its screen display based on the lighting in your environment. This also means that iPhone and iPad devices with True Tone technology should be more readable even in direct sunlight and at night. However, some iPhone users reported in the Apple community that the iPhone stuck in True Tone Display during the setup process. If you encounter the same problem, this article will guide you how to fix it.

1. Change your iPhone to a different light environment.

If the iPhone gets stuck due to a True Tone sensor issue, restart the iPhone and try another lighting environment.

b). Restart your iPhone and the setup will start all over again.

 

2. Disable True Tone on iPhone.

If you think that the True tone will slow down the iPhone or other reasons, you can choose to turn it off.

a). Go to iPhone Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Turn off True Tone.

3. The iPhone stuck because of Restoring from backup in Set Up process.

Although the iPhone seems to be stuck in the True Tone Display step, in reality, the restore operation is stuck because of insufficient storage space or incompatibility with the iOS version. We need to fix the iOS version or storage space issue.

a). Restart your iPhone and the setup will start all over again.

b). Choose Set Up as New iPhone in Apps & Data step.

c). Complete other Set up steps.

d). Go to iPhone Settings -> iPhone Storage -> Delete some app or transfer and delete photos and videos to the computer. Here we use iPhone Cleaner to clean up iPhone storage and transfer Photos, videos and more to the computer.

e). Go to iPhone Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Update to the latest iOS version.

f). Go to iPhone Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All content and Settings.

g). Then the setup will start all over again, you can choose Restore from iCloud Backup or Restore from iTunes backup in Apps & Data step. This time the iPhone will not stuck in the True Tone Display step.
