How to Reset Your iPhone Passcode If You have Forgotten It

Have you forgotten your iPhone’s passcode? Are you stuck with the screen where the iPhone asks for your passcode? If you have forgotten your iPhone’s passcode, then there is a way to reset it. So, now you can breathe a sigh of relief. But, before you proceed reading how to reset the iPhone passcode, you should know that all the data in the iPhone will be lost and it will be restored to its default settings.

 

First of all connect one end of the USB cable to the computer and the other end to the iPhone. Then launch iTunes on the computer.

Then turn off the iPhone by pressing the power and home button.

Then connect the other end of the USB cable as you turn on the iPhone. You should turn it on by pressing the home button.

You will have to continue pressing the home button until you see a message in the iTunes. The message shown will be an alert message and will state that the iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

After the iTunes has discovered the iPhone, all you have to do is restore it.

You should click on the "Summary" tab in iTunes and then click the "Restore" button.

You can also follow an alternative method, where you will have to switch off your iPhone in the first step. The rest is similar to the above steps. At the end of all these steps, all the data in iPhone including the passcode will be lost. The iPhone will be reset to its factory default settings. So, you will have to change the settings from start or you can use the backup. The whole resetting of iPhone passcode is a very simple process. So, if you have forgotten your iPhone’s passcode, then you won’t have to worry anymore because you can just reset it.
