The day when Apple revealed about its new desktop operating system Mac OS X Yosemite at WWDC, we got to know about the enhanced mail syncing and application speed. The new Mac OS X includes three new tools for mailing.
Mail Drop is one of them using which you will wonder why someone did not think about this before. This tool solves your problem of sending large attachments through email. Sending a large attachment is iffy because sometimes a large attachment goes easily and sometimes does not go for several reasons.
Markup and Signatures are other two tools that help you to send large email on your Mac. Other than the facility of sending large attachments on your Mac, the other innovative features that your will get on Apple’s latest operating system Mac OS X Yosemite are making and receiving iPhone calls on Mac, sending and receiving SMS and iMessage, and many more.
If you want to send large attachment on Mac OS X Yosemite, then you can follow the below steps:
1. Open the email icon. Click on the compose mail option and attach large files.
2. If the recipient is on a Mac using Mail, then Mail Drop will not attach the file, it will link the attachment to the email message.
3. The thing happens here is that the large file is uploaded in iCloud. There the file is encrypted and resembled in the recipient’s Mail program. The recipient will not be able to understand anything as they will see the attachment in their email message.
4. If the recipient uses another Mail client, for example Outlook or Yahoo, then they will receive a message that will contain the link to the iCloud storage location and clicking on the link they will be able to download the file.
