If you have bought a new iPhone then you need to know how to transfer WhatsApp chat message from old smartphone to new iPhone. The method depends on the version of iPhone and WhatsApp that you have on your phone, but both work in just a few steps.
WhatsApp iCloud backup
With the latest version, all you have to do is tap onto the three dots on the top left of your iPhone screen and go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup. Then, all whatsapp content can be backed up manually or you can set it to automatically back all chats up. Then, all your chat history and media will be transfer to iCloud. You can restore your chat history and media when install WhatsApp. You can also export your iCloud whatsApp message with the software.
Other ways to transfer messages to new iPhone
If your old phone is a android phone, there are other ways to transfer the WhatsApp chat messages to your new iPhone. Just hook the smartphone up to a PC with a USB cable and navigate to the internal memory of the phone until you see the WhatApp folder or database. It should appear something that looks like "msgstore-2015-04-27.db.crypt."
Then, copy it onto the PC where you can find it easily. Then, install WhatsApp onto the new iPhone but don’t start it yet. Hook the new phone to the PC with the USB cord. You can then move the file you saved from the old phone into the WhatsApp folder on the new iPhone.
Then, turn on WhatsApp on the new phone, verify you phone number and you will see a message that a new backup was found. Just “restore” it and immediately all your messages should be on your new device.
