Your Apple ID is the personal account that you use to access Apple services like the App Store, iTunes Store, iCloud, iMessage, the Apple Online Store, FaceTime, and more. When you change your payment method or billing address, your information also updates everywhere that you use your Apple ID.
If you change your payment method, make sure that your account information matches the credit card information on file with your financial institution.
In this article I will explain the steps to update and remove data in a secure way from your iOS devices or Mac.
Steps to update or remove Payment information in the iTunes App store

• Then, click on Payment information. Now you can edit/ Change payment details.
• After a successfully edit, click on done.
• Apple will take time and hold you for your card authorization.
If you change your payment method to a credit card, the iTunes Store places a temporary authorization hold on your credit card to verify your updated account information.

Change your Family Sharing payment information
If you’re using Family Sharing, and you’re the family organizer, you can’t set your payment information to none. You need to use a credit card or debit card. Only the Family Organizer can edit payment information for a family group. If you’re not the organizer, you’ll see this message: “The payment method for your Family is managed by [Apple ID].”
If you're planning to sell your iPhone, you should remove your Apple ID account from the device, and reset it (rather than removing your card details.)
