How to Recover Lost Data from Your iPhone after Upgrade to iOS 9

As was foretold at the WWDC last month, Apple released the public beta version of iOS 9 and desktop version of OS X EI Capitan today (US time Jul 9). The beta version of iOS 9 is equipped with news apps like News, Notes, which have been greatly improved. New Maps now supports public transit with a map that emphasizes the different transit lines. Also it provides API that allows you to search within the app.

If you want to install this update, all you need to do is head to beta.apple.com and install the beta version of iOS 9 after signing in. But before that, do remember to make a backup of your iPhone in case of data loss. If you have updated all of your information to the iCloud or to iTunes, then it is a much simpler process. If any data was lost after the process you should use a third party recovery program like Fone Rescue.

After you download and install the program on your computer, follow the instructions below to recover the lost data.

Step 1. If you don’t have the backups made, you have to connect the iPhone to a computer and run iPhone Data Recovery, the cable should make it possible for the computer to pick up and detect the attached iPhone and you will see “Recover from iOS Device” Then, you can start the scan and let it look for the missing data you want back.

Step 2. If you have an iTunes or iCloud backup, just select “Recover from iTunes Backup” or "Recover for iCloud Backup” to start the scan;

Step 3. After the scan, you will find all found data will be showed below. You can choose tab to preview the detailed of your messages. To view only the deleted files, you can check the button "Only display deleted files" in red box below. Just choose those data you want and click "Recover" button to save them on your computer.
