When your iPhone prompts that the available storage is not enough, you will find that iPhone space is filled with a variety of apps. There so many apps taken up storage in iPhone, some are listed below with brief notes about the apps. They are not in any order as they all pull more storage in iPhone.
1. WhatsApp
You’d be hard-pressed to find another iPhone app that’s anywhere near as influential as WhatsApp.Sure, other players were experimenting with instant messaging end-to-end encryption to the app’s launch in 2009 but it was WhatsApp that perfected the format. Its design isn't perfect, to be sure , but the app made communication more convenient and efficient, and it's become one of the most influential instant messaging app in the world.
After you send and receive a lot of photos and other media files, it will become very large. Of course, it also became the first app we need to pay attention to.
2. Spotify
Spotify came to the iPhone in 2009 as one of the first (legal) ways to stream music on demand on mobile. It also let you save songs for offline listening — provided you paid the monthly fee. Six years later, Spotify has tons of competition in the online streaming space (including Apple itself), but the app continues to be one of the best ways to listen to music and podcasts on the go. If you often save songs offline listen, it will also occupy a lot of your iPhone space.
3. Google Maps
No other utility app has had an impact on everyday life quite like Google Maps. The app quickly developed a reputation for providing reliable directions, and it freed users from the chains of printed maps and GPS systems. Apple replaced Google Maps with its own service in 2012, but the effort backfired: Apple Maps was widely criticized, and three months later Google Maps reappeared in the App Store and has been one of its most-downloaded ever since. It will generate a lot of cache files along with the use, but you can clean it up in settings.
4. YouTube
After Apple decided to ditch the iPhone's native YouTube app, Google developed its own, and the results were pretty brilliant. As you’d expect from Google, the app was thoughtfully devised and full-featured and now offers even video editing. Users chagrined when mobile ads arrived, but they unlocked lots of material that was unavailable in the original iOS app and, for content providers, a new way to make money. Thanks in large part to YouTube, our smartphones became the entertainment hubs they are today.
5. Facebook
That “hamburger” you see in the top corner of many apps? It began as an analog of the Facebook app’s old tiled navigation, a testament to its influence in app design. Facebook was also one of the first apps to link directly with iOS — a huge upgrade that let other apps easily log in via Facebook ID, and it turbocharged photo sharing. The app used to be notoriously slow (due to a brief and disastrous flirtation with HTML5), but today Facebook provides one of the best mobile experiences ever, and new features like Instant Articles and 360-degree video promise to take things even further.
6. Twitter
The Twitter app's utility and importance is undeniable. With its own dedicated app (the company used to rely on third-party apps) the service experienced almost meteoric growth… for a while. With its tabbed interface and sharp aqua design, it’s a rich app that highlights the best Twitter has to offer while making it easy to discover new features (hey, look at those Moments!). There's no question that little aqua bird and the iPhone have helped each other fly high.
7. Pokémon Go
As players move within their real world surroundings, their avatar moves within the game's map. Different Pokémon species reside in different areas of the world; for example, water-type Pokémon are generally found near water. When a player encounters a Pokémon, they may view it either in augmented reality mode or with a live rendered, generic background. As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon, and you can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk.
8. Angry Birds
It seems a red, round bird with thick, scowling eyebrows is destined to be just as recognizable as Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog. Every platform needs that first game to push it to new heights, and for iOS, that game was Angry Birds.
It was the iPhone’s first transmedia smash, and there's something still perfect and inspiring about the original, now almost six years old. While mobile game fads may change, it has stood the test of time.
9. Instagram
Instagram allows users to share pictures and videos either publicly or privately on the service, and it's experimenting with photo sharing and filters prior to the app’s launch in 2010. It allow you to experience moments in your friends' lives through pictures and videos as they happen.
10. WeChat
If you still think WeChat is just about messaging, you're vastly underestimating the platform, which now counts more than 650 million users. Weixin, as it's known in China, is the most dominant social network in the People's Republic, where Facebook, Instagram, and many other apps are blocked. WeChat is where you go to pay bills, hail rides, play casual games, browse news, send friends money, and much more. Looking at what WeChat is to China, you can't help but think this is what Facebook wants to be to the world.
Other apps take up more storage in iPhone are:
• G-Maps West takes up almost a gig.
• That game Myst takes up a pretty serious amount of memory.
• Tiniwiki - Most of Wikipedia on your iPhone, over 6 GB.
• Sygic North America takes close to 2 GB
• Most space will be a GPS app I imagine or that wiki thing.
