How to fix:

Below is a User Tip about Wi-Fi issues. Suggest starting from the top and working down. Maybe one of them will help.

• Restart you device.

• Reset Network Settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Rejoin the Network again.

• Reboot Router/Modem: Unplug from power for 2 minutes and plug again. Update Router Firmware (check manufacturer’s support website for a newer FW). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (20 MHz recommended for the 2.4 band). Channels 1, 6 or 11 are recommended for the 2.4 band.

• Change to Google's DNS: Settings > Wi-Fi > Click on the Network, Delete all numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or alternatively 8.8.4.4

• Disable device prioritization on the router if this feature is available. Also disable any VPN apps and test Wi-Fi again.

• Determine if other Wi-Fi devices on network are working well (other iOS devices, Macs, PCs).

• Try device at another Network, i.e., neighbors’, public coffee house, etc.

• Backup and Restore the Device using iTunes. Try restoring as New first and testing it. If ok try restoring the backup (the backup could be corrupted).

• Go to an Apple Store for hardware evaluation. The Wi-Fi chip or the antenna could be defective.

How to fix:

If "Hey Siri" doesn't work. Or Siri isn't available, or doesn't understand or respond to questions

• Go to Settings > Siri and make sure that "Hey Siri" is on.

• Make sure that your device is face up. Placing your device face down disables "Hey Siri."

• If you have an iPhone 6 or earlier, most iPads, or an iPod touch, you need to plug your device into power to use "Hey Siri." If you have an iPhone 6s and later, or an iPad Pro (9.7-inch), you don't need to plug your device into power.

• Make sure that your iOS device has an Internet connection through Wi-Fi or cellular data.

• Turn "Hey Siri" off and back on again.

If Siri can’t hear you, make sure that the microphone near the iSight camera—on the top, back corner of your iPhone—and the receiver isn’t blocked or covered.

• Unplug any accessory plugged into the headset jack.

• Avoid blocking the microphone and iSight mic with your fingers while holding the device or recording video.

• Remove screen protectors, films, or cases that cover the microphone, iSight mic, or iPhone receiver.

• Clear any debris from the microphones or iPhone receiver. Refer to the user guide for your device on microphone locations.

• Restart your device.

• If you've tried these steps and people still can't hear you on phone or FaceTime calls or Siri doesn’t hear your requests, contact Apple Support.
