How to recover erased files from Memory stick on Mac?

This is the case only if the file system of your USB memory stick is FAT32 or exFAT format, macOS file system will add a dot underscore file because it contains the old Apple Resource fork data when copying each file to the drive. When a file is deleted from a FAT32 or exFAT Memory stick, the file system just marks the deleted data block for new data use. It can be read and restored before it is occupied by new data.

Here are the steps to recover erased files from a FAT32 or exFAT format Memory stick on Mac. Before that, you need to download install Fireebok Data Recovery application on your Mac.

Make Sure that the USB memory stick is connected with your Mac, and run Data Recovery application, expand your USB drive and select the volume of USB drive, and then choose the Delete Recovery mode, click Start Scan button.
