Pros: All deleted files has been found in the product, and all found files can be previewed in the demo version.
Cons: Not recognize the macOS system drive, can recognize iPhone device, but not connect iPhone device normally(iPhone has been trusted).

3. StellarPhoenix Mac Data Recovery
Run StellarPhoenix Mac Data Recovery, Choose new scan option, then select the ESD-USB volume and choose Deleted Recovery mode to scan.
After the scan is complete, we found all deleted files, but we can't preview all in the product.
Pros: It seems that all deleted files has been found in the product, and some small files can be previewed in the demo version.
Cons: When using the preview function, the product is often stuck. We have to close and run it again. Can’t preview files with file size more than 10MB. So we can’t check if the recovery file is corrupt or not.

When run Data Rescue 5 on the mac computer with macOS 10.15, you need to Enable Full Disk Access.
Select the Quick Scan mode and choose the the ESD-USB volume to scan.
After the scan has completed, it can't find any deleted files.
Cons: It is the only data recovery software that does not find a file. It may need improvement.

1. For data recovery software, if you can preview a file, it means that it can be recovered to the computer with good file quality. Therefore, when you can preview some scanned files, you can purchased the full version to safely recover them.
2. Here we use the USB drive to have a test, to recover macOS 10.15 system drive, all data recovery softwares need to disable the SIP(System Integrity Protection) module, then run data recovery software to scan.
