1. Restart WhatsApp and restart your iPhone

2. Can't connect to WhatsApp server
Make sure your iPhone's internet connection is working. Go to Settings -> Cellular -> Allow WhatsApp user WLAN & CeLLULAR under APPS USING WLAN & CeLLULAR tab. Or have a try to use vpn to connect WhatsApp server.
3. Can't get the verify number
Don’t you receive the SMS message with the activation code? Or does the activation code not work? In that case, there are a few steps you can take to verify your phone number anyway. First, you can try to verify your phone number using a phone call. Just select that you prefer a call above SMS. You will receive a call from WhatsApp and hear an automated voice that pronounces the activation code.
4. Check your iPhone free storage
When you use WhatsApp for a long time, it will take up a lot of storage for iPhone. Go to Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage, check your iPhone free storage and WhatsApp used storage. Delete some apps and photos to free up iPhone storage.
5. Delete WhatsApp and re-download from AppStore
When you update to the new iOS version, but the version of WhatsApp is an old version, it may have a compatibility issues sometimes.You need update the WhatsApp version, or deleted it and re-download from AppStore.
