Auto clean up Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Opera browser cookies on macOS

So it’s necessary to remove the browser cookie after we open the website page. But it’s every inconvenient and we don’t remember to clear them each time. Before starting the automatic cleaning of cookies, we first know how to manually delete cookies from each browser.

For Safari browser, Open Safari -> Preferences… Menu item -> Privacy -> Manage Website Data… -> Remove All

For Chrome browser, Open Chrome -> Clear Browsing Data… Menu item -> Advanced -> Select Cookies and other site date and click Clear data.

For Firefox browser, Open Firefox -> Preferences… Menu item -> Cookie and Site Data -> Manage Data… -> Remove Selected or Remove All

Auto Clean up your Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera browser cookies

 

Here, we use a third-party application - Cookie Viewer to automatically clear these browser cookies. It can view the details of each browser cookie and also provides the ability to delete cookies. In addition, you can add some trusted sites to the whitelist or add some unsafe sites to the graylist.

a). Download and install Cookie Viewer on your Mac

b). Run Cookie Viewer, Click Safari Cookie, Chrome Cookie, Firefox Cookies to view the browser cookie. And you can click “Open Cookie” button to view the Opera browser or other app cookie file.

c. Select website and right click to add it to the Whitelist or Graylist, or delete it. Or click Remove cookie button to remove cookie data.

c). Access product Preferences… , you can turn on Auto clean up Cookie option, and choose the time frequency: Daily, 3 days, Every week, Two weeks, Monthly. And you can choose the cleanup cookie option: Delete all cookies from all browsers, Deleted all cookies in the Graylist from all browsers, Delete all cookies except in the Whitelist from all browsers.
