Many Mac users reported that they encountered error S7336 when watching Netflix on Safari after updating to MacOS Big Sur. The same Netflix show can be watched on a MacBook with macOS Catalina. It seems to be related to the new version of Safari, as installing chrome and other browsers for watching Netflix can solve the problem. However, if you don’t have multiple browsers on the Mac and experience the same problem, how to fix this issue? This article will provide some solutions.
1. Disconnect the external screen
If your Mac is connecteing to an external screen, try disconnecting and then restarting Safari to watch Netflix again.
2. Remove Netflix website data
Go to the Safari Menu -> Preferences… -> Select Privacy -> Select Manage Website Data… button under Cookies and website data
And then search Netflix, select Netflix data, click Remove to delete. After the Netflix website data has been deleted, force-quit Safari and try Netflix again.
3. Delete Netflix website indexedDB file
Quit Safari browser, and then open Finder, go to File Menu -> Go -> Go to Folder… -> enter ~/Library/Safari, and access Database folder -> access _IndexedDB folder -> access v1 folder -> move all Netflix folder to the Trash, and empty the Trash.
4. Update MacOS Big Sur to the latest version
Click System Preferences icon on the dock, click Software Update -> and then click Upgrade Now to install new version of Safari and other MacOS Big Sur content.
