1. Add and change the copyright information of photo
Some cameras automatically add copyright information to the photo metadata when creating a photo with the camera, while some do not. So we need to check if these photo has contains the copyright. Open the photo with Preview application -> Tools menu -> Show Inspector -> IPTC or TIFF, it will display the copyright information.
If your photos have not been added with copyright information, or you want to change the copyright information, you can use Photo Exifer to add or edit the copyrighted photo metadata tags in batch. Download and install Photo Exifer on your Mac.
Edit EXIF, TIFF, IPTC, GPS and other photo metadata from photos.
For Mac OS X
Run Photo Exifer, and import photos into Photo Exifer. Then select photos, and click the Edit Exif data button, add or change the value of Copyright, and click the Apply button.
2. Add Copyright information as a watermark to photos in batch
After these photos contain copyright information, we use Photo Exifer to batch add the copyright information as a water to photos. Run Photo Exifer, and import photos into Photo Exifer, select photos in Photo Exifer, and click Quick Action -> and choose the Add Copyright watermark to photos menu item.
The selected photos will be added copyright watermark.
