We often need to transfer and export photos from one place to another. The most common is to export photos from a photo library, or transfer photos from an iOS device to a computer, and more. However, the created date of the exported and transferred photos is changed to current export date. For example: A photo was taken on 6/20/17. When exported today (7/13/19), the photo shows it was created today. It’s hard to manage and organize all exported photos. How to fix this problem? Is there any way to restore its creation date and time to the real date and time? This article will show you how to solve the issue on Mac.
Each digital photo has a photo metadata which contains the correct date stamp. Here we use Fireebok Photo Exifer to batch modify the photo digital date as the creation date. Here are detail steps.
1. Download and install Photo Exifer on your mac computer
2. Run Photo Exifer and import photos which needs to change the creation date.
3. Select photos on the left window, and click Quick Action button, and choose ”Copy camera date to the create date” menu item.
4. Then the created date of the selected photos will be changed to the real date and time.
